First Week of School

Phew, what a week. My cheeky monkey has just finished his first week of school and we are both exhausted. On day 3 the "when do i go on holidays" started, along with a few tears because "school is the longest day ever". I have been a little worried all week but I guess I shouldn't have been because when I pick him up he's always very happy and this afternoon even more so (maybe because he know't it's the "holidays").

"Serious" photos are always outnumbered by the "Silly" around here

Anyway, my craft time has been limited as we get used to our new routine. BUT, I have been working on some pot-holders for the EB swap with 3 done, one needing binding, and one more to go, but I'm not sure on one of the ones I'm finished. I'm not happy with it and may just keep it and do another one. I've branched out and finally tried free motion quilting which is trickier than it looks. I need more practice but at least pot holders are a good thing to start with.

I have also started knitting something for a birthday next week. But I haven't gotten around to any blocks for Quilts for Queensland yet but I promise to make a start on it next week (they should be reasonably quick anyway).
