Softies for Mirabel - Part 2

So I knitted a bunny to go with the elephant in the last post but Isla claimed it before I had even finished it (and it doesn't have clothes). So I needed something to replace Mirabunny for the Softies for Mirabel drive as I really want to send 2 toys. Ned had asked me for a pirate toy so I made one up according to his instructions but then he changed his mind on what he wanted so I am sending "Billy" to the Mirabel Foundation instead:

Ned will be getting a new pirate as requested with a Yellow Shirt and "Pink eye"..... LOL.

"Billy" has a few siblings who have all been made for sale in my madeit store from a Bit of Whimsy Dolls Patterns.

These are great fun to make and I love customising each so they seem to have their own personality.

Softies for Mirabel

Softies for Mirabel is an annual appeal to benefit the kids supported by They send word out via the internet, inviting people like you to make a soft toy (or two!) The toys are gifted to the Mirabel Foundation's Toy Drive.

I found out about this after it was posted on one of the group forums on Ravelry (thanks Kelly). I've been meaning to make this little guy for ages but my kids have soooo many toys it isn't funny so I really had no one to knit it for. I was really happy to read the post about the Softies for Mirabel toy drive as it gave me an excuse to finally make Eli Elephante.
